Careers and Internships at The Ranch

The Ranch is comprised of 5 departments that work together to serve our program and clients. It takes a special individual to work in our program, and we try hard to make sure each new hire is a good fit for their department and that we are a good fit for their personal and professional needs. The Ranch strives to be an engaging and rewarding workplace for all. Continuing education and professional development are supported in every department. We have a full benefits package including a corporate-matched 401k program for all eligible employees. We offer paid time off and sick time off, as well as paid holidays and many other benefits. We strongly support the concepts of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our workforce.

Our Residential Team is responsible for operating the residence halls, transporting clients, and monitoring medications, as well as rounding for safety and many other day-to-day tasks. This department is scheduled 24/7 to meet the residential supervisory needs of our clients.

Our Dining Services teammates are all individually certified ServSafe professionals and offer meals 7 days a week. Our team also tries to make every holiday an event for sober celebration with specialty foods and décor. Responsibilities include preparing meal plans, meals, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room.  ServSafe certification is not required prior to employment, and we are happy to support applicants through the process.

Our Clinic is responsible for providing substance use disorder counseling and support. All applicants must have certification or licensure from the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists to be considered. We hire entry level professionals with certification levels “ADT-counselor” through more senior professionals with CSC-AD or CAC-AD, as well as individuals licensed at the master’s level including LGPC/LGADC and LCPC/LCADC. Clinical supervision is built into the position. The Clinic operates Monday through Friday and provides 1:1 counseling, family and support-building, and psychoeducational groups.

Our Facilities Team works to maintain our extensive infrastructure as well as keeping our grounds, our structures, and farm animals safe and comfortable for all.

Our Administration is responsible for leadership and management of all services and departments across the campus. It includes our Intake Coordinator, Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Program Director and our Executive Director.

If you are enrolled in an accredited college or university and are considering going into the field of substance use disorder treatment or related behavioral health professions, The Ranch is proud to offer internship placements for qualified applicants above the age of 18.

If you are interested in applying for a position or an internship, please reach out to our administrative team directly. Call our main line at 301-874-4701 or email info@ranchmd.org for more information.
